Introduction

At St. Gabriel’s Secondary, we believe in preparing students for the future of technology and innovation. Our Applied Learning Programme (ALP) – Aviation and Future Transportation gives students exciting hands-on exposure to the aviation industry, one of Singapore’s fastest growing sectors. As an Aviation Initiative School (AIS) recognised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and in partnership with Boeing Singapore, our programme offers students real-world learning experiences inspired by practices in the aviation industry.

Through this programme, students will:

Explore how aircraft and drones work
Use real flight simulation tools
Learn through design challenges and coding
Develop problem-solving and innovation skills
Connect classroom learning to future careers

Our Gabrielite Flight & Aerospace Programme (GFA) aims to:

Spark curiosity about the aviation and aerospace industry

Inspire lifelong learning in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics)

Programme Highlights

GFAM 1 – Introduction to Flight (Secondary 1)

Students are introduced to:

The history of aviation
Principles of flight and aerodynamics
Design and engineering basics

Capstone Project: Design, build and test unpowered glider

GFAM 2 – Drones & Future Technologies (Secondary 2)

Students dive deeper into:

Drone technology and flight operations
Basic drone coding and navigation
Introduction to AI and automation

AeroWings - Flight Simulation Programme

Using aviation simulation software, students learn:

Aviation Science
Aircraft controls and navigation
Realistic flight missions

Competitions & Enrichment

Students also take part in exciting platforms such as:

Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC)
The Boeing Challenge
Overseas Trips
