Concert Band
Established in 1966, St. Gabriel's Concert Band nurtures musicians and servant-leaders through performances and community programmes.
Beliefs & Outcomes
The Band CCA develops students’ musical abilities, discipline, teamwork and confidence through regular rehearsals, performances and opportunities for musical exchange.
In 2026, the Band offered platforms for students to perform, collaborate and grow as young musicians. Highlights included musical exchanges with St Patrick’s School and Singapore Chinese Girls’ School, which allowed members to learn from peers and broaden their perspectives. The Band also performed at the Secondary 1 Recital, National Day Observance Ceremony, Speech Day and Chinese New Year celebrations.
Beyond these events, members served the school community by performing the National Anthem live during morning assembly. Through these varied experiences, students strengthened their musicianship, ensemble skills and sense of responsibility while deepening camaraderie, confidence and pride in the school.
Achievements and Highlights
2026 Performances / Exchange Programme
Band Exchange with St. Patrick’s School – Students participated in a meaningful musical exchange, gaining exposure to another school’s band culture and practices.
Band Exchange with Singapore Chinese Girls’ School – Students had the opportunity to learn, interact and perform alongside fellow student musicians.
Secondary 1 Recital – Supported the school’s Secondary 1 students through a musical performance and provided students with valuable performance experience.
National Day Observance 2026 – Performed as part of the school’s National Day celebrations, contributing to the festive atmosphere and sense of national pride.
Speech Day Performance – Performed at Speech Day, showcasing the Band’s musical development and commitment to supporting key school events.
Chinese New Year Performance – Presented a festive performance to celebrate Chinese New Year and enliven the school community.
Live National Anthem During Morning Assembly – Regularly supported morning assembly by performing the National Anthem live, strengthening students’ sense of pride, unity and school identity.
